This weekend saw some more adventurous activity training for some of our leaders, this time to gain Bell boating helm permits. Well done to the leaders that successfully completed the course. Yesterday they learned about the rules and regulations and practised controlling the boats in reasonably windy conditions. Today they were put to the test with volunteer Cub Scouts as crews and got to run half hour sessions with them which involved loading the boats, steering and running various games. The cubs loved the day which proved the new helms were successful in their task. We rounded the day off with a 3 Bell boat race and mass water fight. Thanks to everyone that took part or helped to make the course a success!
